Crowns,
(sometimes called "caps") are used to repair a compromised tooth
which has been broken down by decay, large fillings, cracks or some
physical trauma. In the past, crowns were made of gold. Now, new
advances allow us to use porcelain and resin based, tooth colored
crowns. These crowns are extremely durable, provide excellent
protection for the damaged tooth and are very appealing to the eye.
